A most unusual wrought iron cage light. This light may and most likely is from a ship. Part of the iron rods form the door of the cage light and lifts up for access. The light measures 10 inches tall and 9 1/2 inches in diameter. The iron has the best patina. The candle cup is tabbed thru the bottom of the light and the ring hanger is tabbed thru the top of the light The light was purchased in Sturbridge, Mass and dates to the late 17th. Century or early part of the 18th. century, could possibly be earlier. This light in age, and form make it very unusual and would certainly be a beautiful addition to any lighting collection or home. The construction and fine detail of this light is just outstanding. The condition is excellent. Price: sold
