I absolutely love this piece. I have owned it twice now–it is just stunning. So many of these pieces carry with them. memories of friendship and relationship. I bought this piece quite a few years ago from Patrick Padula (God bring piece to his soul). I loved Patrick. I kept it for a while, sold it and two or three years ago bought it back from a dear friend. Offering it again. It is a beautiful piece. A Double Taper Wood Candle Stand Old Paint Antique Wooden Lighting Device”. Measures 29″ tall x 11-1/2″ base.
Connecticut, circa 1800-1840. Made of oak or ash and Pine having 7″ wide candle bar, 3/4″ candle sockets, cross base. Forged wrought iron square nails. Early putty color paint & untouched deep dark surface. Old candle burns, socket loss, age usage wear. A Rare Survivor of Early American Candle Lighting. Just a stunning piece of early American lighting. Price: sold
