Haven’t had one of these for a very long time. 19th. century ear trumpet with original jappaned surface and in working condition. Ear trumpets were used to augment ones hearing. The cup end collected the sound and it traveled up to the opening in the end which was held near or in the ear. The ear trumpet measures 18 inches long and the pan end measures 5 1/2 x 6 inches.
