A most unusual and wonderful early American candle light. This light is circa 18th. century–it has a wonderful slab base (no tipping over here), double candle light that is adjustable and can be used as a floor light or table light. I believe the slab base is Chestnut wood, very heavy with great surface. The lights slide up and down on between the two verticle rods. In the shortest position the light measures about 22 inches. At its tallest position it measures about 40 inches and is secure. If you choose to use a height between the shortest and tallest a wedge is necessary to hold the position. The wedge is not necessary at the tallest or lowest heights. The slab base measures 11 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 3 inches. This is a gorgeous light with so much character. Price: sold

People on my email release get first peek at all the new monthly items before my ad comes out in the Maine Antique Digest. Most of the inventory I carry is 19th., 18th., and some 17th. century country primitives in original surface. I am an artist and I feature some of my original works on the site as well.
