I love the looks of this wonderful little box. The proportions give it an extra special presence (18 1/2 x 7 3/4 x 7 inches). Early 19th. century, primitive, small sized blanket or storage box. Most likely New England, circa 1800-1840. the Box has simply styled top and bottom moldings and the best original, dry, worn, Spanish Brown Paint. The Table box is make of White Pine. Constructed with square nails and applied top and base moldings. The box has the original brass hinges but the lock is missing. The surface is dry and shows expected wear to the surface after nearly 200 of use. There is an old repair on the top molding of the lid where the original (now missing) latch was. The proportions of this box give it a very special look. Please note the little piece of wood that is missing out of the back piece (see photo) Measures 18 1/2 x 7 3/4 x 7 inches. Price: sold

I update my merchandise on a regular basis but my big updates are around the end of every month. At that time I send out a slideshow featuring all of my new items. If you would like to receive the slideshow, send me an email and I will add your email address to the release. People on my email release get first peek at all the new monthly items before my ad comes out in the Maine Antique Digest. Most of the inventory I carry is 19th., 18th., and some 17th. century country primitives in original surface. I am an artist and I feature some of my original works on the site as well. I will work with you in any way possible to make your visit and your purchases as pleasant and satisfying as possible.
