Small Blue, Slide Lid Candle Box

An extremely nice, small sized, slide lid candle box. This little box has several very nice features. One is the original Blue painted surface. It does show wear, but the wear is appropriate for the age and use of the box. The construction is dovetailed, the lid is nicely stylized. What I believe to be an unusual feature of this box is the sharply chamfered bottom panel. The size is certainly another attractive feature, it measures only 9 1/4 x 4 x 5 1/4 inches. Excellent condition. American, circa mid to late 19th. century. Price: sold
