An exceptional example of an American floor light from the late 18th. to early 19th. century. This floor light has two candle cups tab mounted on a narrow tray that adjusts up and down the iron shaft. The iron shaft has a nicely twist to the bottom of the shaft. The shaft is mounted into a heave, thick wooden base. The overall condition of this floor light is excellent and it is an American example from the late 18th. to early 19th. century. Excellent provenance from the MacKay/Fields collection. The overall size of the light measures 41 inches tall. The candle tray measures 7 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches. The base measures 9 x 9 inches.
