A great wall box having wonderful form, age, construction and patina. The wall box has a primitive double tombstone back, the front panels on the box have a nice curved form, the construction is with early square nails and some later replacements. The surface appears to be an original dark red with early black over paint. Circa late 18th/early 19th. century, 1780-1840. This wall box has a great primitive look with lots of country charm. The wall box measures 16 1/2 x 11 x 5 inches. American painted wall box. Price: sold
