A beautiful example of an early 18th. century, American wrought iron hanging adjustable sawtooth chandelier hook. The original surface is outstanding retaining its original gold gilded paint and its original ceiling hook. A New England chandelier hook circa 1730-1860. The trammel is in excellent condition. the trammel has its original decorative rosettes and a very bold and decorative adjustment arm. The end has a substantial hanging hook. Great condition, early tool marks. The domed ceiling plate measures 5 1/2 inches across and the trammel is 16-21 inches long. This example is Heavy iron, excellent condition American trammel.
