I just love the looks of early noggins in a tavern setting. This noggin was cut from a single chunk of maple. It has the best untouched natural surface with super patina. Th noggin was lathe turned and has a hand carved handle. It shows wonderful wear just what you want to see on an early noggin. It is 10 5/8” tall at spout x 5” diameter base. There is one very tight, hardly noticeable, shrinkage crack from the base up that partially goes to the inside but not on bottom. The dark line near the crack is a stain and not a crack. This noggin would have been used in a tavern, inn, or public house to serve ale. C. 1720-1790. Price: sold

I update my merchandise on a regular basis but my big updates are around the end of every month. At that time I send out a slideshow featuring all of my new items. People on my email release get first peek at all the new monthly items before my ad comes out in the Maine Antique Digest. Most of the inventory I carry is 19th., 18th., and some 17th. century country primitives in original surface. I am an artist and I feature some of my original works on the site as well. I will work with you in any way possible to make your visit and your purchases as pleasant and satisfying as possible.
