A truly extraordinary example of an American Master Salt. This particular example has so very much going for it, the size is striking–it measures 4 1/2 inches tall and the base measures 3 3/4 inches in diameter at the base. The salt has layers of old Blue paint, and has aged to a perfect shade of blue. The character of the Master Salt is enhanced by the wonderful, detailed turnings. The condition is excellent, of one note only that the lid fits best in one position. The salt has shrunk our of round a bit thru the years. The Blue paint has a striking jewel quality about it. Circa 19th. century—hard to find a better example. The Master salt is from the Bruce and Vivalyn Knight collection. Price: $3200.00 + shipping

I update my merchandise on a regular basis but my big updates are around the end of every month. At that time I send out a slideshow featuring all of my new items. If you would like to receive the slideshow, send me an email and I will add your email address to the release. People on my email release get first peek at all the new monthly items before my ad comes out in the Maine Antique Digest. Most of the inventory I carry is 19th., 18th., and some 17th. century country primitives in original surface. I am an artist and I feature some of my original works on the site as well.
