I believe this mirror to be outstanding both in form, age, surface and character. Steeple shaped, the wood is quite heavy and thick and so is the mirror itself. The painted surface is just wonderful although it is difficult for me to say if the paint is worn red or black over worn red. The photos truly don’t do the surface justice. I believe this mirror would please anyone with an appreciation of Early American items. The overall size of the fragment mirror is 9 3/4 x 4 4 3/4. The size of the mirror is 4 1/4 x 4 inches. The label on the back identifies it as a Christmas gift in 1970 to the Elmer Keith collection. A very stunning mirror. Price: sold
