This is an absolutely beautiful American table Light. The double candle light is circa 1680-1740. The candlestand measures 23 1/2 inches tall, the cross bar measures 8 inches and the base of the light measures 5 x 1 1/4 inches. Both the post and candle bar are of American Pine Wood and the base American Chestnut. The post has a collar cut out so that the cross bar fits securely and does not need anything else to secure the candle bar. The candle bar has two recessed, cut cups to hold the candles. The surface is all original and has great patina from age and use. Please notice the little crack in the wood at the very top of the shaft. The shaft is mortised into the base. This is an exceptional piece of early American lighting. Price: sold

I update my merchandise on a regular basis but my big updates are around the end of every month. At that time I send out a slideshow featuring all of my new items. If you would like to receive the slideshow, send me an email and I will add your email address to the release. People on my email release get first peek at all the new monthly items before my ad comes out in the Maine Antique Digest. Most of the inventory I carry is 19th., 18th., and some 17th. century country primitives in original surface. I am an artist and I feature some of my original works on the site as well. I will work with you in any way possible to make your visit and your purchases as pleasant and satisfying as possible.
