Fabulous, Late 18th./Early 19th. century Red Painted Scrub Box

This scrub is of the best form. I shape, form, surface, age and condition of this scrub box are just fabulous. The paint is a dark, dry red completely original. The form is unusual, it hangs on the wall, has a small well to hold pumice and soap, the wedge shaped work surface is tucked up on the side of the wall box. The wear on the box couldn’t be better—this truly is so authentic and completely original and dating to the late 18th. to early 19th. century. Square nailed with later nails added so the box could continue to be used. The scrub box measures 14 1/2 x 9 x2 1/2 inches. The scrub box has a worn hanging hole. Price: sold
