Fabulous Late 18th, Early 19th. century Wooden Trammel
This is the best trammel light I have ever owned. The form, surface, and age are just the best. The trammel is painted Black over original Red. The trammel is unusually long. It measures about 30 1/2 inches at the shortest and 54 inches at the longest. Another unusual feature of this trammel is it was made to be used for candle holders rather than Betty Lamps. On this trammel there is a shelf that can hold a good size candle stick. Please note the decorative notches that go around the circumference of the shelf. Of note, there is also an arm that extends outward. You slide the candle stick into that arm and it provides some safety for the candle stick to not slip off the shelf. The top of the trammel has pinned construction. The condition is excellent. American trammel. the provenance of this trammel is outstanding. Late 18th to early 19th. century. I would say no later than 1820-1840. A form you wont find too often. Candle holder not included in the price. Price: $2999.00 + shipping
