I just love this piece. Late 17th. to early 18th. century redware candlestick with sweet form, small size–measuring only 4 1/4 inches tall. Good things come in small packages. The candlestick is in excellent condition. Along with the candlestick is the sweetest and most unusual wick pick. I have had wick picks in treen holders but this one is unusual in that it is made of tin and the size of it is most unusual, it measures 5 1/4 inches long. I was told that the early tallow candles sometimes imploded upon themselves and this type of wick pick could reach down in and straighten or pull up the wick. It is a great combo. American mid 19th. century. American redware candlestick with Good provenance. Price: sold
