Very rare and large early 18th century table top lighting stand or tidy. The stand retains much of its original forest green milk paint. The wood is pine and was constructed with wonderful rose head and cut nails. The stand parts were pole lathe turned. The surface has wonderful wear and the best patina. The stand is 14 1/4” tall with a 5” dia. top and a 8 3/4” base diameter. There is a short stable shrinkage crack in base edge. This lighting stand came out of a good collection in the mid-west. It would have been used to elevate lighting devices on a table for better light. Rare to find this large and so early. Price: sold
