Rare 19th c. Pipe rack with chip carved star decoration. This lovely wall pipe rack has one dovetailed drawer, the sides are carved with ratchet like cuts that hold the pipes in a horizontal position. The pipe rack has a very nice patina, small wire brad construction. Measures and is decorated with a carved star on the back board. The pipe rack is of an unusually small size. This style is is usually seen in a much larger form.The pipe rack measures 12.75” tall,7”wide x 4” deep. the surface is original and shows no signs of ever having paint. I believe the wood to be Pine. This lovely piece was from the collection of a Woodbury Ct. dealer who retired-The Harold Cole collection. Circa mid 19th. century. Pipes not included. Price: sold
