Most Unusual, Small Sugar Cutter w/Box

An absolute treasure! I have owned quite a few sugar boxes with cutter, this one is the first one that I believe may be a salesman sample. The smallest I have seen. The sugar box has its original red painted surface, dovetailed construction, Iron cutter, holes in the base of the cutter floor to let the smaller pieces of sugar fall thru and a drawer to catch that sugar. Circa mid 19th. century. The box measures 8 x 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches. The drawer is a replacement and so is the wooden part of the handle. If you love cutters, this one will really make you smile.
