Outstanding Early 19th. century Water Magnifier

You all know by now that I love water magnifiers and buy them whenever I can. This one is a fine example of a early 19th. century water magnifier. The form is just great, squarish and with a long handle. Quite different from the long narrow form. This piece appears to be all original. The magnifier was filled from the handle end. The handle would be removed to fill the magnifier. At some point the handle has been secured into the magnifier with wax. The water magnifier measures 8 x 5 x 3 inches. The condition is excellent and the magnifier appears to have its original dark painted surface. Circa 1820-1840 or perhaps earlier. Price: $2395.00 + shipping
