PAIR OF EARLY TURNED WOOD CANDLESTICKS WITH ORIGINAL PAINT.17th. century

This lovely pair of candlesticks are American, possibly early 17th Century. Constructed in two parts, having stepped turnings, with original white paint that exhibits great wear. There is some loss at the sockets looks to be burns. Age cracks on each of the candlesticks. Approximately 8.5″h. The provenance is excellent, Ex David Good (Camden, Ohio). The candlesticks have an interesting construction. The socket is a turned column that sits loosely and slides into the base, which has a fitted, hollowed center that goes all the way through. Please look at all the photos to see the authentic wear. The candlesticks are completely stable and usable. This is an amazing pair and quite an opportunity to own an absolutely beautiful piece of Americana. Price: sold
