Pair of Treen Candlesticks, Late 18th. century

I can’t say enough about this charming pair of 18th century candlesticks. Standing an impressive 17 1/4 inches tall, the base is 6 1/4 inches and the mid drip measures 4 1/4 inches. The candlesticks  make a statement from the drip pans to the turned baluster stems on raised circular bases. Mid drip candlesticks are quite unusual to come by these days and add such character to any candle stick. The traces of residual brown paint form a fabulous crusty surface and the wood grain lends a striking grain painted look. There is some loss to the candle up from burning. Price: sold
