A very nice 19th. century painted firkin. The best size and original red paint make this a special piece. The firkin has nails, no staples and pegged construction. Button thru loop handle. The firkin measures 9 x 9 1/4 inches. It was given as a gift back in the 1960’s. All the information is marked on the bottom of the firkin.
