This certainly is a sweet little piece. The overall size gives it a great look, it measures 8 3/4 x 6 1/4 x 10 inches tall. The surface paint is just wonderful, dry, so well oxidized some times it looks blue, dark green and even black depending on the light. This box sports a nice backboard with the best Make Do repair to the hanging hole. Please notice in the photo how precise the hanging hole was repaired. Square nail construction. Circa 1780-1840.
