Small X Base Table/Floor Double Candle Light
If you are looking of a small, American light. One that does not take up much space but has all the bells and whistles of a fine example of early 19th. century X base American lighting, this could be the piece for you. this lovely piece has so much character and quality in construction. The size is suitable to be used as a table piece or as a floor piece. The slender styling and short height make is suitable as a table piece. But it also looks great in a small floor space. It is so finely styled and actually has such a refined presence. Delicate looking but solid in construction. I believe it may be Cherry wood. The shaft is beautifully tapered and has two iron decorative rings and decorative cuts. the X base is sturdy and balanced but smaller in size. the floor light has both a candle and rush holder with a beautifully twisted iron shaft. The condition is excellent and the piece is American. Please note the decorative iron rings that are part of the shaft. The floor light measures 30 1/2 tall and the X base measures 9 1/4 inches.
