LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY MINIATURE TWO (2) DRAWER TABLE TOP APOTHECARY OR SPICE CHEST IN THE BEST ORIGINAL OXIDIZED SPANISH BROWN PAINTED SURFACE. From New England, Circa 1780-1820, STILL RETAINING ITS ORIGINAL HAND CARVED TOP WOODEN KNOB AND ITS ORIGINAL CAST BRASS PULLS.
THE WOODS USED IN THIS LOVELY PIECE ARE CHERRY AND PINE.
IT HAS MINIATURE HAND CUT DOVETAILS ON THE REAR OF THE CASE AND THE DRAWERS ARE BUTT NAILED. THE TOP HAS AN OLD AND  I  BELIEVE ORIGINAL HAND TURNED WOODEN KNOB FOR CARRYING.The size is wonderful, it is 5 1/2″ across the front, it is 8″ deep and it stands 6 1/2″ high. There is typical wear associated with the age of the item. There is an old age crack in the top, (see photos). The piece is tight and is only a minor loss. Price: $725.00 + shipping
