A wonderful form in this chandelier. It is mid 19th. century, 5 arm, tin with a inverted cone design as the center piece. There are five arms and each arm is removable. I have had one or two of these in the past and they were made for traveling. Easy to take down, easy to move. People often took lighting with them when they traveled because not all places had adequate lighting. The tin is well patinated and the chandelier has a fabulous presence. The arms come off easily and each arm has a fluted drip pan. When you insert the arms into the centerpiece there are little tin tabs that can be closed to secure the arms. Some of these tabs show wear. This wear doesn’t harm the integrity of the chandelier. I do believe this chandelier is American. The overall height is about 12 inches. the width of the centerpiece measures about 5 1/2 inches and each arm, when attached measures about 9 1/2 inches. This lovely American chandelier would certainly make a statement over a table, side table in you country setting. Price: sold

I update my merchandise on a regular basis but my big updates are around the end of every month. At that time I send out a slideshow featuring all of my new items. If you would like to receive the slideshow, send me an email and I will add your email address to the release. People on my email release get first peek at all the new monthly items before my ad comes out in the Maine Antique Digest. Most of the inventory I carry is 19th., 18th., and some 17th. century country primitives in original surface. I am an artist and I feature some of my original works on the site as well. I will work with you in any way possible to make your visit and your purchases as pleasant and satisfying as possible.
