Unusual, Black Painted Bail Handled Pantry

A very unusual bail handled pantry box. This bail handled pantry was designed for special use. It is different in the fact that there is a rectangle plug with a Shaker knob on the top that removes and reveals a larger opening and then there is a peg that can be removed to relieve pressure. I don’t believe it was used for a liquid as there are no seepage or leak marks on the pantry. Perhaps it was used to store a large grain or something of that nature. It may be Shaker (I say that because of the unusual knob). Whatever it was used for it is quite an unusual piece. The paint is wonderful, original Black paint. The pantry is secure with stable secure bands. The pantry measures 11 x 8 inches. This piece is American and out of Ohio. Price: $795.00 + shipping
