Unusual Candle Box with Candle Shelf

A most unusual lighting accessory. I love the form of this box. One side is a candle box and on the other side is a candle shelf, all combined into one piece. The surface is original. The Box is in excellent condition. Circa 19th. century. The box measures 10 1/2 x 9 x 3 1/4 inches. Original surface with square nail construction. The last photo shown here is another example of an almost identical box that was sold at auction. Most likely both of these boxes were made by the same hand. The box can sit on a table or hang on the wall (a hanger would need to be attached)A very unusual American wall box with excellent provenance. Light no included in the price. Price: sold
