A lovely piece of 19th. century lighting. This is a half round punched tin lantern. The punch tinned surface is beautifully decorated and finely punched. Very decorative with low light on the punched tin side. The other side is all glass for the brightest light. I do believe the glass is a replacement. The lantern is circa mid 19th. century and American. The lantern measures 10 1/4 x 7 1/2 x 4 inches deep. The condition is very good with a little looseness on the edges of the tin where it meets the wood. The lantern has a nice smoke catch and hanging wire. Price: sold
