A beautiful example of a Winter Petticoat. This one has an interesting Calico design on the Outside and Black quilted silk (I think) on the inside. The quilting is fine and well executed. The petticoat has a rust colored band at the waist. The buttons look to be original but I think the tapes are old replacement. The petticoat has a nice kick slit that would assist in stepping into a coach and also a slit that would allow access to the ladies pocket that would be tied on to her waist underneath the petticoat. The petticoat is trimmed in a velvet type fabric. Please note that some of the binding along the bottom is unstitched, can easily be corrected. The petticoat measures about 38 inches ong and 29 inches at the waist. This is a fine example of a ladies Winter petticoat. Price: sold
