Mustard Paint Rope Bed, c.1800’s, original

GREAT EARLY ORIGINAL PAINT–if I could shout it I would. This bed is fabulous. Wonderful early 1800’s rope bed with early, if not original mustard paint. The look is so fine. Not too much to mention other than the normal wear for a bed of this age. I would like to note that there are holes in the front of the head board and footboard. Please look at the pictures to see the holes. These holes were used to secure the front and back boards to secure the side rails. I now have the lag bolts for the bed. They are not original to the bed but they are new and make the bed totally secure. The bed measures 70 inches long and about 40 inches wide. A great American piece. I am offering this piece for pick up only. I do think it could be packed and shipped and will look into that possibility if anyone is interested. I did get a packing, shipping and insurance quote from UPS Pack and ship. An estimate would be about 395 for west delivery and about 375 for east coast delivery.
